Beach When I go to the beach to play in the sand, Somebody special takes hold of my hand. We run through the dunes and take off our socks. We wade in the water and sit on the rocks. The sun is so warm and the sky is so blue: There are so many things that we just have to do. We build a sand castle with shovels and pails. We wave to the boats racing by with white sails. We catch a sand crab that is wiggly and icky. We cover our feet with wet sand that is sticky. We splash in the water and jump through the swells. We search on the beach for some magical shells. We raise an umbrella and lie in the shade. We sit on a blanket and drink lemonade. When I dream about days that are happy and fun, There's no question for me that my favorite one Is to go to the beach and play in the sand When somebody special takes hold of my hand.
